Common Questions & Answers (FAQ)

  • What does "Deer Horn Tooth" mean on a shear?
This typically describes the shape of the finger rest. It features an elongated, curved extension that allows the little finger to rest comfortably, giving the stylist better control for precise cutting techniques like slide cutting.

  • What is the Z-628 used for?
This shear is likely a versatile, all-purpose tool suitable for point cutting, precision detailing, and scissor-over-comb work. The 6.28-inch length provides a good balance between control and cutting larger sections.

  • How do I adjust the tension?
The Z-628 likely features an adjustable tension screw. Use the provided tension key; turn right for tighter tension and left for looser until the blades cut smoothly without resistance.

  • Does it come with a warranty?
Zora Beauty typically provides a manufacturer's warranty covering defects. Register the product and keep the receipt for claims.

Summary
The Z-628 is intended to be a professional shear featuring an ergonomic deer horn (crane) handle for comfort and a convex edge for precision. It is designed for stylists who want detailed control.

Shear Maintenance

Step 1. Wipe down after use.

Keep the shear wide open at 90 degrees or more.Hold the shear still and wipe down the movable and still blades from the pivot to the tip by using a genuine leather cloth

Step 2. Brush or drop oil.

Brush or drop the oil (1-2 drops or 2-3 brushes) at the pivot (tension) area and wait for 5-10 seconds. Close and open the shear slowly and gently 2-3 times. Repeat the process if necessary

Step 3. Wipe down the oil.

Keep the shear wide open. Wipe down the oil from the pivot to the tip (both blades).

Step 4. Close it.

Close it slowly and gently. Slightly adjust the tension if necessary. Keep it in its original case or a dry and safe place. Repeat step 1 before using the oiled shear

Your are Ready!

Maintenance is recommended after 20 hours of cutting or once a week, whichever comes first. BE CAREFUL. THE BLADES ARE SHARP.
