FAQ - Zora Beauty Shear Model Z-630

Q: What hair cutting techniques is the Zora Z-630 designed for?
A: The Z-630 features a 6.5-inch length with a traditional straight handle, making it suitable for a wide range of cutting techniques including blunt cuts, scissor-over-comb, and precision detailing. The lighter weight and ergonomic shape are designed to help reduce hand fatigue during extended use.

Q: What type of blade edge does the Z-630 have?
A: This model utilizes a convex/hollow-ground blade edge, which is honed to a sharp finish. The convex blade helps provide a smooth cutting motion and is intended to support effortless slicing through the hair.

Q: Is the Z-630 suitable for a professional salon environment?
A: Yes, the Z-630 is often marketed as a professional-grade shear built with durable stainless steel to withstand daily salon use. Its design aims to balance durability with precision for consistent performance.

Q: Does the Z-630 come with a tension adjustment system?
A: Like many professional shears, the Z-630 features an adjustable tension screw. This allows you to fine-tune the blade resistance to suit your preferred cutting style, ensuring optimal performance for different hair types.

Shear Maintenance

Step 1. Wipe down after use.

Keep the shear wide open at 90 degrees or more.Hold the shear still and wipe down the movable and still blades from the pivot to the tip by using a genuine leather cloth

Step 2. Brush or drop oil.

Brush or drop the oil (1-2 drops or 2-3 brushes) at the pivot (tension) area and wait for 5-10 seconds. Close and open the shear slowly and gently 2-3 times. Repeat the process if necessary

Step 3. Wipe down the oil.

Keep the shear wide open. Wipe down the oil from the pivot to the tip (both blades).

Step 4. Close it.

Close it slowly and gently. Slightly adjust the tension if necessary. Keep it in its original case or a dry and safe place. Repeat step 1 before using the oiled shear

Your are Ready!

Maintenance is recommended after 20 hours of cutting or once a week, whichever comes first. BE CAREFUL. THE BLADES ARE SHARP.
